Terms of service
Terms and conditions of PolskiCert.pl
These terms are a contract between you and us. They are written so that they can be read, not only accepted. If anything here is unclear, write to kontakt@polskicert.pl and we will explain.
1. The parties
The provider: .
Contact in all matters: kontakt@polskicert.pl.
The user is a person who uses the site, whether or not they have created an account and whether or not they have bought access. A consumer is a user who is a natural person using the site for purposes not connected with their business or professional activity. A consumer has additional rights, described in sections 7 and 13.
2. What the service is
PolskiCert.pl is an educational website that prepares you for the state certificate examination in Polish as a foreign language at levels B1, B2 and C1. The subject of the contract is access to digital content: task sets, flashcards, recordings, a mock exam and a record of your learning progress, together with a free task bank with explanations.
The provider does not run the certificate examination and does not issue certificates. The provider does not accept registrations for the exam, does not set exam dates and does not collect exam fees.
The provider is not connected with the State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language (Państwowa Komisja do spraw Poświadczania Znajomości Języka Polskiego jako Obcego) or with the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). The provider does not act on their behalf or with their authorisation and does not present itself as their representative.
The site does not publish tasks taken from the examination papers of the Commission. Those papers are a work protected by copyright. The tasks on the site are our own and reproduce only the format of the examination tasks.
The materials are educational. They are not legal or immigration advice and must not be the basis for decisions about residence, citizenship or employment.
3. The account
Creating an account is free. It requires an e-mail address and a password of your choice, or logging in with a Google account. We collect no other data at that point.
One person creates one account. The account is personal. Sharing your login details with other people is not allowed and entitles the provider to block the account.
You can delete your account at any time by writing to the contact address. We delete it together with your learning progress within 14 days. Deleting the account during a paid period does not entitle you to a refund for the unused time, unless the case described in section 7 applies.
The provider may block an account if the user shares the content of the site with other people, tries to download it in bulk or acts to the detriment of the site or of other users. We inform you of a block by e-mail, stating the reason.
4. What is free and what is paid
Free of charge and without an account you get:
- the whole task bank together with explanations and rules,
- the first 5 items of every task set and every flashcard set,
- the articles, the descriptions of the exam and all the information pages.
Paid access covers:
- the full content of the task sets and flashcards at levels B1, B2 and C1,
- the recordings for the listening comprehension module,
- the mock exam with a timer and pass marks,
- the record of your learning progress and the statistics.
5. Time limited access
Paid access is granted for a fixed time: 2 days, 30 days or 90 days, counted from the moment the payment is confirmed by the operator.
This is not a subscription. Access does not renew itself automatically, we do not store any consent to recurring charges and when the period ends we take no money. Access simply expires. The account, the history of your progress and the statistics remain; you can buy access again and carry on learning from the same place.
6. Prices and payment
Prices are given on the pricing page. They are gross prices in Polish zloty and include all taxes. The binding price is the one shown at the moment of purchase.
Payments are handled by PayPro S.A. (Przelewy24). The provider has no access to payment card data and does not store it.
Access is switched on automatically once the confirmation from the payment operator arrives. Merely seeing the thank-you page after returning from the payment gateway is not a confirmation of payment. If access does not appear within an hour of a successful payment, write to the contact address and give the transaction number.
An invoice made out to a company or to a person is issued on request sent to the contact address.
7. Withdrawal from the contract
A consumer has the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
This part matters, and we ask you to read the sentence twice. We switch on access to the digital content immediately after the payment is booked, because that is the point of this service. That is why, when buying, the user gives express consent to the performance starting before the withdrawal period ends and acknowledges that they then lose the right to withdraw from the contract. The basis is art. 38 ust. 1 pkt 13 of the Act of 30 May 2014 on Consumer Rights. The consent is given by ticking a separate box at purchase, and without it the payment is not processed.
Our own rule, going beyond the statute: if after the purchase you have not yet opened any paid content, we refund the whole fee on a request made within 14 days of the purchase. It is enough to write to the contact address. The money goes back the same way it came, within 14 days of receiving the request.
8. Complaints
We accept complaints at kontakt@polskicert.pl. In your message please give:
- the e-mail address linked to the account,
- a description of the problem,
- for a factual mistake in a task: the address of the page, the level and the section.
We reply within 14 days of receiving the complaint. No reply within that time means the complaint is upheld.
We correct a factual mistake in a task or in an explanation without delay. In itself it is not a ground for a refund, unless the defects of the material make it impossible to use the service.
If the digital content does not conform with the contract, the consumer has the rights set out in chapter 5b of the Act on Consumer Rights: the right to demand that the content be brought into conformity with the contract and, where that fails, a price reduction or withdrawal from the contract.
9. Technical requirements
To use the site you need:
- a device with internet access and an up to date browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge in a version from the last two years),
- JavaScript and cookies enabled,
- a speaker or headphones for the listening comprehension module,
- a working e-mail address.
The site works on a phone, a tablet and a computer. It does not require installing any program.
The provider reserves the right to technical breaks needed for updates and maintenance. We try to schedule planned breaks at night. If a break caused by the provider lasts longer than 24 hours, we extend the access period by the length of the break at the user's request.
10. Copyright and the ban on copying
The tasks, explanations, reading texts, recordings, flashcards, articles, graphics and the layout and appearance of the site are works of the provider and are protected by copyright.
You may use them for your own learning: solve them, print them for yourself, take notes.
You may not reproduce, publish, distribute, sell or share them in groups, on shared drives or on other websites, nor use them to run your own classes or to build a competing collection of tasks. You may not download the content automatically either, including for the purpose of training language models.
The texts of legal acts quoted on the site are official materials and are not protected by copyright.
11. Liability
The provider does not guarantee that you will pass the exam. The result is decided solely by the State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language. Using the site gives you no right against the Commission or against any public authority.
The results of the mock exam and the statistics on the site are a learning tool, not a prediction of your exam result. We describe the pass marks used in the mock exam together with the date of the legal status they refer to.
The provider makes every effort to keep the material correct and up to date, but is not liable for the consequences of decisions taken solely on the basis of it, in particular decisions about the date of taking the exam, about residence, citizenship or employment.
Towards a user who is not a consumer, the liability of the provider is limited to the amount paid for access.
12. Changes to these terms
Users with active access are informed about a change to these terms at the e-mail address linked to their account, at least 14 days in advance. A user who does not accept the change may delete their account within that time and receive a refund for the unused period of access, calculated proportionally.
The version of the terms in force on the day of purchase applies to a period already paid for.
13. Governing law and disputes
In matters not covered here, Polish law applies, in particular the Civil Code and the Act of 30 May 2014 on Consumer Rights. The choice of Polish law does not deprive a consumer of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the country of their habitual residence.
A consumer may use out of court ways of handling complaints and pursuing claims: the help of the district or municipal consumer ombudsman, the provincial inspectorate of the Trade Inspection or a consumer organisation. Information about these routes is kept by the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK).
Disputes with a user who is not a consumer are settled by the court with jurisdiction over the seat of the provider.
14. Entry into force
These terms apply from the day they are published on the site. We make previous versions available on request sent to the contact address.
Legal status as of 2026-09-02.
